Xtool P2S F25.4 / F1" & F38.1 / F1.5" nozzle

€50.00

A nozzle for Xtool P2S that allows to use F25.4mm & F38.1mm focal lenght lens.

  • Outer wall 50mm/s

  • Supports needed

If hose does not fit use hole compensate or drill with 4mmdrill

Do not use this if you don't know  what you are doing or hesitate even a bit to prevent device damage.

Tested with Xtool P2S co2 laser using following specs:

Not tested yet

  • >50% power for longer cuts

  • Short 1-2 minute 70% power cuts done on 8mm acrylic 5mm/s speed.

WARNING STATEMENTS

  • !!! FIRE HAZARD !!! Do only use with own risk. As a file designer i don't take any responsibility if you burn up your workshop or equipment with bad or wrong configurations.

  • ALWAYS, Make sure optical path is calibrated so that laser beam is not hitting nozzle at any given point of working area (this is possible with proper optical path calibration)

  • ALWAYS, Make sure the lens is not dirty before using the nozzle. The nozzle MIGHT get hot if its dirty and thus can start deforming the nozzle

  • ALWAYS, Calculate the distance with caution and make sure to check the calculation is always correct before entering calculated distance to Xtool studio program.

Nozzle Assembly and installation guide

  1. Remove the Xtool original nozzle according to Xtool P2S guides

  2. Take the F25.4 or F38.1 nozzle housing and the F25.4 or F38.1 lens and insert the lens into the nozzle. (tip: If you see your nose drill when looking at the lens, its installed wrong way, the rounded surface of lens must point upwards. When you see clearly your full face, its correct way)

  3. Twist the twist-cap on with the twist-cap tool, do not use hard force, otherwise twistcap migh brake...

  4. If the lens moves when you shake the nozzle after fixing the twist-cap, remove the twist-cap and add gaskets. First add lens into nozzle slot, then on top of lens, add a gasket and then finally use twist-cap to secure the lens.

  5. Shake nozzle, if lens is not moving (you should hear / feel it when shaking) proceed.

  6. Before inserting hose into nozzle hose hole, try to slide the nozzle like you would do for the original lens. If its tight, use a knife of similar sharp tool and scrape excess printed material that has been left over on the underside of the piece that goes into Xtool nozzle slot. You might need to scrape it couple of time but dont take too much in one go. It should slide in with some small amount of friction.
    Proceed to next step when it sliden into place.

  7. Take nozzle out and grab the 4mm air hose in Xtool P2S and insert it at least 5mm into the hose hole on nozzle. If it does not fit on -> you can drill the nozzle hole with a 4mm drill. Use pressurized air to clean nozzle from debris if you need drilling.

  8. When hose is connected to nozzle, slide the nozzle into the slot and fix it with the screw meant for the original nozzle.

  9. Now you are ready to go.

  10. To be sure laser beam does not hit the nozzle, do a optical path test -> best way to do it so that you see the red dot.

Xtool studio settings and tips

  1. Change Mode to Slats removed

  2. Start by making an aimed-measure on your material surface.

  3. Align the needed job to the material in view

  4. Calculate the distance with the help of formula given below under Distance measurement header. (make sure to have correct units formula depending if EU / US units in use)

  5. Type the calculated value to the Distance field

  6. (Observe, to be safe, keep the magnetic front lid of laser head detached to be able to spot any possible hazards)

  7. Now you can click on process.

Distance measurement for f25.4mm / f1" lens

  • Metric units -> Distance value = [Aimed measure] + ( 50.8 - 25.4)

  • US units -> Distance value = [Aimed measure] + (2" - 1")

    eg. metric units:   Distance value = 16 + ( 50.8 - 25.4) = 16 + 25.4 => Distance value = 41.4

Distance measurement for f38.1mm / f1.5" lens

  • Metric units -> Distance value = [Aimed measure] + ( 50.8 - 38.1)

  • US units -> Distance value = [Aimed measure] + (2" - 1.5")

    eg. metric units:   Distance value = 16 + ( 50.8 - 38.1) = 16 + 12.7 => Distance value = 28.7
